Can I update GPU and CPU drivers on my RP-15?

Hello, I just got an RP-15 and I'm loving it. I"m new to windows coming from mac so there is a bit of a learning curve. I'm using it to play VR, connecting an oculus quest for half life alyx. My question is, should I update the drivers on the GPU and CPU? Is this fine to do with laptops? Or do I have to keep it on the factory drivers? I'm a bit confused with this. I'm having trouble getting the computer to recognize oculus link, unfortunately.
