...Yeah, I know, grammatically it should be Artist of the Week for Smith, but we went with BOTW so we are stuck with it.
Every week on the Queens of the Stone Age subreddit we take a dive into a band that has collaborated with, has influenced, has been influenced by or has toured with Josh Homme and our very own desert rockers.
This week we take a dive into introspection and sadness and loss through one of the true greats of the Indie scene. You know and love Elliott Smith; Josh Homme liked his music so much he and Queens covered Christian Brothers.
The bottom line here is that Elliott Smith is one of those chronically underappreciated artists that everyone should hear. His music may make you sad and reflective and contemplative, but it will always make you feel.
Come check out the write up! You may learn something new, or you may have something cool to contribute. Look forward to reading any comments that you'd like to add to help Queens fans appreciate Elliott Smith.
See you there!
