Advance Scanner or Surface scanner first?

Hi there fellow explorers. I am almost able to buy a Surface scanner, should I get it or keep the money to buy the Advanced scanner first? The price difference is pretty big, but being able to see all planets immediately seems like a huge time saver.
Edit: Thanks for all the advice everyone. I will first get the surface scanner, and use a naked guy to find planets.
