How the hell do you navigate subgenres?
Post Body

Most of my favorite music is, broadly, electronic. But a lot of it is totally different, even on things that are labeled as the same subgenre. And finding a description of what the hell a subgenre label means is nearly as impossible.

How does a person find similar tracks/artists without wading through a hundred tracks I'll consider shitty for every one I'll like? How do you even describe your subgenre preferences?

(If you can't give general advice, I'd also take specific. Where should I look to find more things like Venus Hum, The New Law, maybe Angel Tears, Watcha Clan, or The Felt, the homestuck album. All of which are called 'electronic' somewhere, I'm somewhat skeptical of a couple of those tags.)
