Turning an NC to a NO switch?

Post Body

Disclaimer: I know very little about circuitry.

I cannibalized an old aquarium heater and took the thermostat switch out to use for a different aquarium project. Short version: I have a light enclosed that is not meant to be enclosed, with a bank of tiny 20mm fans blowing air through the enclosure. I'd like to wire the thermostat in so that the fans turn on when it's warm enough, rather than being constantly on.

The trouble is that the thermostat is meant to turn the heater off when it's warm enough. So the switch is, if I understand correctly, Normally Closed (power is supplied to the heater until it gets warm, then turns off), but I need it to be Normally Open (fans off until it gets warm, then turns on).

Is there a simple way to use the parts I have to accomplish my goal? Or am I better off doing it another way?
