I'm just getting back into vaping to quit smoking and I bought a Vaporesso Gen S device and a Dead Rabbit RDA. I have had issues with getting droplets of juice into my mouth and have been told by many that this is inevitable (I CANNOT stand this!!) and that with RDAs, I will always be "drinking e-liquid." I am not satisfied, nor convinced, please help! The man at the vape shop installed pre-made coils and wicked it for me. And I went back again the next day and got new free coils that are better, but I still get spitback. For context, I first dipped my toes in the world of vaping in early 2015. I started out with e-cigs (the only easily accessible disposable device at the time) and eventually got myself my own mod (a Pegasus mechanical copper mod with a Dark Horse RDA). My boyfriend at the time taught me almost everything I knew about vaping and I had jumped right into using RDAs. I learned how to build my own coils and did so frequently, playing around with different styles, wire gauge and sizes. Sometimes I had issues with spitback, but I typically could figure out why and correct the issue by building new coils. So I certainly recall (perhaps incorrectly?) being able to avoid getting e-juice splattered in my mouth with RDAs. With my new device, I have adjusted the wattage up and down with both sets of coils, have made sure to avoid over-saturation, etc. and I am still unable to avoid this problem. I don't know what kind of coils they are and I no longer have the knowledge or tools to build my own. My newer coils are a smaller gauge (do they even use that measurement anymore??) and heat up more quickly. They are better but I can still feel droplets of juice on my lips and in the back of my throat and it's really turning me off of vaping. Can I get some advice? I have considered just getting an RTA but this is what I once knew and enjoyed and I would really prefer to stick with the RDA if possible.
Update: I saw in a video that the drip tip may be a factor. When I was younger, I used a fairly small drip tip and disliked the kind with larger openings for reasons I can't remember. Would getting a smaller drip tip help with this issue?
