So considering all the hype around the Alien, I wanted to ask a few things. I bought my Alien last month, and love it. I haven't updated the firmware yet, as I have heard there are some issues with it.
Can anyone weigh in on this?
And I haven't haven't heard about any custom firmware, and I have been looking for it. I assume much like a car's ECU programming, it has to be cracked before you can mod it. Either way, I want to hear what the community has to say, thus far.
Edit: after some searching, I think I may have misread another post about firmware. Don't think it was related to the Alien. Sorry for any confusion.

I have a 1.2.8 Alien in my hands right now I'll try to extract it later... Would love to upgrade my another Alien to 1.2.8 since with 1.2.2 it somehow reads the batteries all wrong. Anyone has the older hex maybe if I'll fail?
