Goliath V2: A Review
Post Body

Coming from the Goliath V1, which I had used until about now, I was hoping for some noticeable changes in the Goliath V2, aesthetics aside. I'm glad to see UD has really put out quite the tank, putting time and effort into making it a true V2 (I'm looking at you, Kayfuns Lite to 3.1).

Build

The material they use is light. Maybe my clone of the V1 was heavier, but this one (which I assure you is authentic, did the check and everything) is noticeably lighter, even when filled. Design wise, they've removed the fins, which was sort of a fondness I had of it, and otherwise sleeked up the hole thing to be more inline. On my SMPL clone, it looks fantastic. An streamlined thing of beauty.

Remember how tough it used to be to screw on the tank in the V1? It was all too easy to get the threads wrong and screw it on, skewed, getting it stuck and leake. Well, I'm happy to say it's much easier on the V2. Perhaps this is due to practice on the V1, but I generally found it much easier than before. I've yet to screw it on wrong.

Rebuilding

Rebuilding it is very much similar to the V1, in that you've got your two posts and have to build a dual coil. One great addition though is the single coil option. It's basically a piece of metal and silicone that you use to cover one half of the build deck. It stops the juice flow for that half and maintains a small opening for air to get through. I haven't personally used it myself, seeing as I've been dual-coiling it all the way since my days with the Kayfun V4, but it's nice that they've added that option. I remember some people griping about how tough it was to build on the V1 because it could only function with dual coils, as single coil setups would cause it to ultimately flood.

Airflow

Airflow is greatly improved. Where the V1 was tighter, I could compare the V2's to that of the Subtank. Really great and airy, and fully customizable, so yes, you can make it Kayfun-like.

Refilling

The filling process is the same as before, and to be frank I'm rather disappointed there's no proper top-fill method. Still, it's familiar and easy to use, so I'm not really complaining.

Flavour

Now to flavour. I have to say it is an improvement from the V1. The flavour comes through much smoother than before, I could taste minute flavours that I hadn't noticed before, and generally made my vaping much better.

Clouds, sweet clouds

Cloud production is..... superb. I'm using only my SMPL, a single battery mech mod, but even then, on my 0.5 ohm setup, it works fantastically in fogging up my dorm room. This is truly almost dripper-like. It's just fantastic.

Issues

It's not as easy turning the juice-flow on and off. Due to the inline design, there's no place to properly grip the ring. One way I found of overcoming this is by unscrewing the deck slightly then adjusting the juice control from there. Makes short work, and despite a bit more effort, works just as well.

One thing to note however is that quality may vary. Mine came without much issue, however my roommate, who got his the same day as me from the same guy, found it much tougher to adjust his airflow control ring. So keep that in mind.

Summary

All in all, a very well put-together atomizer. Great flavour, clouds, design, and everything. I'm especially appreciative that they kept the Lifeline from V1. I always loved that, and am glad to report it's back in action.

And that's about it guys! If you have any questions feel free to shoot one over! Hope you enjoyed the review, and feedback is very much welcome.
