HI Everyone, I've been a long time lurker, here, Started vaping back in 2013, never smoked prior to that.
Lessons I learnt in last 10 years for anyone looking to vape:
Don't if you don't already have a nic addiction
If you are going to, please buy good quality products only. I know the cravings will win out, but try to look after yourself the best you can as you slowly destroy your body.
Vapers are some of the nicest people in the world. I will miss random talks with people about mods and such. It really has become more than just a quick fix.
Now with that out of the way here is my journey thus far:
In April of this year, one of my colleagues quit vaping and moved to pouches on a whim. He has been using them for a while to reduce vaping. Since then I've been getting them on and off to try and cut down my vaping. One day I had run out of juice and only had 50mg pouches. I used one, nearly threw up(I vape 10mg/3ml) and didn't touch them. Then around a month ago I bought more low strength ones and it clicked. I realized that these can 100% replace my nicotine addiction, all I need is figure out how to replace the motion. So I just doubled down on quiting and worked against my habit, until one day the habit was gone and as long as I reached for a pouch when I felt a craving, I didn't need to vape. My friends who did this quit by using 0 nic vapes at the start to help with the habit.
So now 6 months after learning about Nic pouches, I can say that I am vape clean. Next Step is to give up the pouches. Given that there is almost no ritual to them, I am hoping the habit will be easier to break
TLDR; Purpose of this post is to just say for anyone who is looking to quit, to give pouches a go. Just make sure you do your research and get the strength that works for you.
Keep in mind that Big Tobacco owns Zyn.
