Like the price point(effectively $16 for 104ft minimum, in reviews many people say they narrow the width by stripping it in half, most saying into 4ths works for them, resulting in being $16 for 416ft of usable cotton for their coil rebuilding)

People mention the general practice of boiling the cotton in distilled water for 10 min, and the only people that find any funky cotton flavor\taste & find that to be a deal breaker are the ones that didn't boil it first. Typically either people say it goes away completely after the boiling, or it was just fine in the first place.
