For context, me and my friends have done Boston Calling, Rolling Loud, Gov Ball, and AG/BK Mirage events. This is the most concerning festival we’ve been to; I’m not saying don’t go, but if you do go plan more than you think you should, we thought we had a solid plan, but it went to shit real quick. Here are some things we picked up from Saturday.
Definitely locate the bathrooms, The lines were massive around the bathrooms, but we managed to locate a smaller group of bathrooms near The Convergence stage that wasn’t jam-packed and that was a godsend.
Definitely grab a ferry pass if you can, We tried to Lyft to the RFK bridge, but the traffic was so horrible we ended up having to walk a quarter mile to get to the bridge footpath.
If you’re doing will call show up at 2:30-2:40 we already had our wristbands but the will call crowd was so large it started to block the entrance to the main gate.
There are a lot of bottlenecks, the grounds are poorly set and have resulted in a lot of bottlenecked areas, Be on the lookout for crowd surges.
Think of an alternate way off the island, We tried to exit back over the RFK bridge and it was impossible, it got so crowded they made the ferry to 34th Street free, and we were able to hop on the second free ferry off the island.
Today is not the day to try new drugs, saw a dude go down before even making it through the main gate.
Best of luck out there raver’s be safe ✌🏾
