I am considering making a switch from my Honda Civic Hatchback to a Niro EV. I currently drive 70 miles total on my commute to work but my Civic is really efficient and I can get 42-44mpg if I drive smartly which isn't usually a big issue. I am considering a lease (my live-in gf has a vehicle I can use for work and can work from home as needed so I can definitely stay under the mileage threshold) because the Niro EV has a 9k something rebate. Additionally, I can qualify for an additional 3500 from my state as a rebate. My local power company will also provide a free level 2 charger and I would just need to have an electrician install it. With my car being so efficient, is it worth the switch though purely from a financial perspective?
