I've had my ID.3 for 7-8 months now, and it's a pleasure to drive. The hardware, build quality and electricity consumption live up to my expectations.
But the phone app software is horrible. After me and thousands of others have complained that the syncing between WeConnect ID and the car doesn't work, they have released new versions to address the problems. But to no avail.
It plays out like this. My car is at 80% and I want to charge to 90% because of a trip. So I set the charging percentage to 90% in the app and save. Now it's 90% in the app and (presumably) on the cloud. No errors reported. Then I connect the car to the charger. Nothing happens. After a few minutes, the app notices that 90-80 is not zero, so I can pull the "start charging" slider. I do this and give the app several minutes to sync. Error, failure to sync. Ok. I redo everything and try again. Still Error, failure to sync.
Now I have to get into the car and check its status. Sure enough, the car still thinks it should charge to 80%. So I have to set it there.
I'd say, on the whole, WeconnectID has had negative quality of life impact during my first months with ID.3. What's been your experience?
