Hello All,
I am new to plug in charging. We just purchased a 2022 Jeep Wrangler Plug In Hybrid. We are using the standard 120v charging over night. We have variable kwh pricing based on the time of day. I am looking for a meter to place on the outlet to help me determine what our charging cost is to compare to fuel costs. I would assume that I am coming out ahead but I would like to verify. I will need a meter where I can export the data as the price of charging from 8PM to midnight is different from midnight to 6AM. Then I can determine the "real" cost of charging the batteries. We get 21 miles pure electric and that is typically sufficient for one day of travel. We are using very little gas fuel. I just want to confirm we are making the correct choice using electric. Any suggestions on a meter to use would be much appreciated. TIA.
