There are multiple reasons and arguments in this domain.
Right now, AA & AC don't integrate very well with electric vehicles. EVs and these two don't share information, so if you're using either one of them, you have to switch between inbuilt navigation and the apps to look for charging, or use third party tools like ABRP and then instead of just putting in your final destination, you have a route planned with stops at chargers. If electric cars would share battery information with AAAC there wouldn't be such a hassle. At some point, as EVs get cheaper and cheaper, manufacturers will have to ponder this, as it doesn't make sense to have a native navigation system for vehicles being less than $35k. Prime example is Bolt vehicles from GM itself.
AAAC have the capability to provide better information about charger status, crowding at chargers, and available charging speeds based upon the vehicles they're being used in. Again, this requires extensive information exchange going on between electric vehicles and the apps. For example, on my way from Miami to NYC, I can just go on without thinking in a gas, hybrid, or a Tesla car - because of the Tesla superchargers, and massive availability of gas stations. But in any EV from other brands, it's not a mindless task. But if there was information sharing between the vehicles and A3C, the apps could know from other vehicles that Electrify America stations are either occupied or there's a longer line, vs EVGo stations only 2 miles down. The maps could direct me to EVGo instead of EA, even with a slower 200kW charging, I'll be done there faster because there's no line. This, depends on information sharing.
With what Apple's latest stuff is asking for access to; automakers can potentially lose billions of dollars of revenue. Jiffy Lube would instead pay Google and Apple to direct EV drivers to them for a coolant exchange instead of going to a GM dealer or GM authorized shop. That, is unacceptable where a company from another domain is trying to conquer revenue from the industry which automakers consider their own.
