Becoming an Electrician
Post Body

Is it possible to become a Union electrician in IBEW if I go to a community college and get a Associates in Electrical ? I got offered a scholarship to go to a community college for that degree. I looked into IBEW’s apprenticeship program and it seems very cool and it seems like a good community but I’m just scared for their application process…. The aptitude test and the whole waiting times period scares me so I’m just not sure. If anyone could help that would be great.

And also I’ve heard people say that you can become an electrician in 2 years with at a community college rather than 4-5 years at a apprenticeship. Is that true ?
