1st year apprentice, started with Ryobi power tools (I know they're not the best but it's what I had) and I'm starting to slowly replace them with Milwaukee. First I want to replace/add to my impact. My Ryobi works great but it's big and bulky so I want to get the M12 compact for something small because that's been what's most useful. I was going to get the impact/hammer drill m12 set from home Depot because it's in my price range, but yesterday my Ryobi sawzall let out the magic smoke and is no longer with us. I have a Ryobi hackzall but it's not great even though it does get the job done, I also have a Ryobi 18v hammer drill that work great and I have no problems. Wondering if I should still go with the drill set or just get an impact and a 12v hackzall instead. I do plan on eventually being able to have a complement of M18 and M12 tools for whatever the job requires but for now i can't decide what tools I should start upgrading first. I really only have the money to do 2 and would like to go M12 for now because of the size. What would y'all suggest?
