Been doing alot more overhead service wirring lately.
Today I installed 530' of 4/0 quadruplex in parallel, secured to 5 poles throughout the run and finally connected to the service entrance of the temporary covid hospital.
I have a specific tool to hold tension on the line while I install the wedge clamps . But just pulling the sag on the wire to get minimum clearance was really tough.
4/0 quadruplex when you have almost 100' distance is tough .. is there any particular tool or technique to get these types of jobs done with alot less forcing?
Btw I use my bucket truck while doing the job.
