Immersion socket gone

Slight problem here and advise much appreciated

So our immersion for heating the bath had problems the other night, or should I say immersion switch. Left : on / off Right : Bath / Sink

After going to turn it off, the socket was really hot and the on off switch was stuck in the middle.. Ended up having to turn off at the trip switch. Got a new socket today and wired it up. The light came on when I turned it on but the water didn't heat up.

Old switch. 5 terminals and earth block Bottom: live neutral (In) Top: neutral (out) Left: Bath L1 Sink L2 Earths

New switch 6 terminals and earth block Same as above but at the top next to neutral was another "Live out" but I haven't used it as the 2 lives that I have are on the sink / bath

Also, the neutrals were a bit blackened from when it got hot.
