Odd wiring for 3-way switch. Help?

I'm replacing this Lutron dimmer with a smart switch (HomeSeer HS-WD100 PDF) and the other switch in the 3-way with the companion switch (HomeSeer HS-WA100 PDF). The non-dimmer switch (left side in the second picture) has 2 reds attached and I'm trying to figure out what to do with the second red. I am unable to determine what the right switch in there does, but it only has 2 blacks connected to it.
