I beg of your assistance so that I do not burn down my house. Thank you.
Post Body

Hey guys and gals,

I'm trying to setup a 220v line to my garage, it's about 125' away from the main power panel and I think I'm planning to bury it. My max load is 53amps so I figure I should shoot for 60amp setup.

I used this site to determine I needed 4 AWG copper, so I went hunting and I selected this https://wireandcables.com/4-awg-thhn-building-wire/ I also believe that my ground wire can be a higher gauge wire and selected this https://wireandcables.com/8-awg-thhn-building-wire/

I decided I should buy 300' of the 4ga and 175' of the 8ga just to give myself some extra working room.

Planning on getting this subpanel for no reason other than price and it seemed to meet my spec, and this breaker.

I think I also need to pick out a busbar? or two?

Does this stuff look right to you or am I way out of left field here with this? Appreciate any advice, and if I am missing some stuff please let me know!

Thanks!
