Hello people, I was wondering if I should still pursue this career a little back story to this. I am literally born at the bottom of the barrel in the u.s not knowing or having no guidance on what to do with my life I see my self only having 2 options on how to get out from the bottom of the barrel, which was to go to school or join the army. After 3 attempts on trying to contact a recruiter I decided to go to a trade school for electrician but I fear the school I enroll in isn't much help on getting me the knowledge I desire or doesn't even come close to what they are trying to prepare me into the field. Each time I always ask a question whenever we are in lab they always tell me to "figure it out" or "I don't care how you do it, it's all up to on how you wanna do" instead of them just teaching me they way they would wire up which is what I figure they would teach me. Another saying I get is "there are so many ways to do this so just do I however" which I get bothered because I don't even know at least one way to wire up a system. So my question to yall is should I still pursue this career, would anyone even take an apprentice like me that bearly knows any information on how to wire basic systems. Or should i just call the quits and don't even bother looking at job applications?
