Here's a quick rundown of what you need to have in order to attend EDC and drink alcohol.

ID Check

When required, attendees must present a real, valid, unexpired, physical, photo ID of themselves that proves they are of age to attend the show.

DO NOT SHOW US A PHONE, because you will be wasting our time and the time of everyone else behind you in line.

There are 300,000 people trying to get into the show and 99% of them will be ready with their IDs. That still means 3,000 people will be holding up the lines at some point, and even if it takes 5 minutes to sort out then we're looking at 15,000 minutes of wasted staff time that could be better spent getting more people inside.

ACCEPTABLE FORMS OF ID FOR ENTRY:

An ID is still required for entry, even if you don't plan on drinking alcohol.

FOR ENTRY ONLY:

• US government-issued driver’s license or ID card containing a photograph and date of birth
• US or foreign government-issued passport containing a photograph and date of birth
• Foreign government-issued driver’s license/ID with color photocopy of passport
• Temporary DMV documents proving you are currently renewing a license—ONLY if accompanied by passport or expired license

ACCEPTABLE FORMS OF ID FOR 21 WRISTBANDS:

You MUST be over the age of 21 to receive a wristband which allows you to purchase alcohol and access VIP areas. When you purchased VIP tickets, you acknowledged you are 21 and agreed to provide proof of that upon entry.

FOR 21 WRISTBANDS:

• Any US government-issued driver’s license or ID card containing a photograph and date of birth
• US or foreign government-issued passport containing a photograph and date of birth
• NO FOREIGN GOVERNMENT LICENSES OR IDS ACCEPTED

UNACCEPTABLE ID:

• NO School ID
• NO Permanent Resident card ("Green Card")
• NO Consular ID
• NO Birth certificate
• NO Expired ID of any kind (except as noted above)
• NO Photocopy of any ID (except as noted above)
• NO Temporary DMV license without passport or expired licenses
• NO PHOTOS
• NO PHONES
• NO PRINTOUTS (except as noted above)
• NO EXCEPTIONS
