I been wanting an electric car for a while now. I currently have a Ford Taurus. I DoorDash a lot to make ends meet. Yesterday, I take it in to get two tires replaced and an oil change, about 300 bucks down the drain. I go to pick it up and they are like hey, your should of got 4 tires. The ones on the back are dry rot. Okay, don’t mind paying for tires, but when I drive back home my check engine light came on and I’m like “look” if this is going to be an expensive item, I might as well put the money into a used fiat. I got to test drive the 500e, and the leaf some years ago. I love that 500e! I did some research and there is a used 2014 and 2017 500e in my area. I’m going to see what is wrong with this car but if it’s too expensive, I’m going to jump in to a 500e. 1) do you agree I should make the switch? 2) should I just get the 2014 or go ahead get the 2017? 3) how is the insurance with an e-ride? Is it the same with a gas car or cheaper?
