I'd like to avoid the crazy levels of Tesla hate and just keep this factual. I'm looking to buy a used Tesla. High mileage '15-'17 Model S' are going for 15-16k in my area. Usually they have between 90-140k miles. Is this considered high mileage for a Tesla? What are the down sides to this? How long do the batteries generally last?
I'm currently in a long term rental 2023 model 3. I love it but the Model S is a much nicer and larger car. I have a family and like to do Uber on the side. So an S, I think, would suit me better. Also while I could get a lower mileage 2020 3 for like 5-6k more, the S is still a 74k car and the 3 is still a 30k car so it seems like a better deal.
