I need a way to keep a 12v battery topped off with a 60v battery. What device or circuit could be placed between the two batteries to allow power to flow from the 60v battery to the 12v battery when the 12v battery is below max charge.
Post Body

I already tried just connecting a 10 amp 60v to 12v converter to the 60v and 12v battery and it blew it's caps out as soon as I turned on the power on the 60v side.

I just want to trickle charge the 12v battery with the 60v battery to run a cooling system, radio, and occasionally a winch. That's why I can just use the 10amp output from the converter. I would also like to be able to use the 12v system without needing to always draw on the 60v system.
