The stoner community needs to have an honest conversation about cannabis potency and mental illness. The medical evidence is overwhelming and undeniable.

No, abusing cannabis is not as harmful as abusing alcohol.

No, we should not keep marijuana illegal - not when there's already a market for these highly potent products and black market carts tend to be filled with poisonous contaminants.

No, there's nothing wrong with a few dabs or vape hits.

A few.

But when you hit that vape like it's nicotine, the odds are high it will have negative effects. You'll remember less, you won't be able to concentrate, and there's a chance you'll develop psychosis or schizophrenia.

Again, not trying to demonize pot here. I've loved it for years. But I'm in recovery and abstaining right now because I was ADDICTED to high-potency weed. With a capital A.

TL;DR Please exercise moderation when using highly potent cannabis. Consider getting a cartridge that has a more balanced CBD ratio or a lower (below 60%) potency.

EDIT: Bring on the downvotes. It's true.
