Leveling a crafter efficiently

I am leveling a crafter all crafts >lvl 10. I know that you are supposed to research everything you can and then deconstruct everything else. I only vendor ornate items. My question is should I wait to research later. Would it be more effective to deconstruct the stockpile of gear I already have. To get the levels and passives to research faster. And then research later?
