How much the race you chose affect your overall numbers?

I'm not talking about picking breton over high elf for magicka dps. I think we can all agree that picking a sub optimal race is fine unless maybe if you are a very high end player looking for score pushing.
But what about picking a stamina based race for a magicka dps (PVE)? A nord dragonknight for example, what exactly will be my damage loss percentage wise compared to an high elf magicka dk? Would it be a problem for vet trials?
