Advice for a questing tank?

I'm currently trying to get to CP160 but I'm also finishing out a lot of the quests I skipped. I'm a (learning) StamDK Dunmer but I have a problem. Killing enemies in solo questing takes forever and I feel pretty weak. Is there something I could do to increase my damage output without rerolling?
I have quite a few unused skill points and I don't want to drop the tank side because that's how I get my keys and finish dungeons.
