Had an amazing weekend hanging out in the starter islands (for all three factions) crafting armour and weapons for new players, as well as just answering questions about the game and giving advice. I remember when I was a new player and how generous the community was to me – whether it was the girl who mailed me 250 filled grand soul gems after helping me take down a world boss one night, or the people who crafted for me before I found my guild. And my guild itself (found here on Reddit when I joined) has been unfailingly patient and sweet to me, even during my hiatus when I was gone for three months.
I’ve played other MMOs but while most communities have been decent, it hasn’t had that sort of magic that ESO has had for me.
I’m max level now, heading towards 400 CP, and sure, I could be out farming dungeons right now and optimising my build, but I can do that anyday. I’m having more fun seeing the new players running around, experiencing everything for the very first time with that same excitement and wonder I did when I first stepped out of Coldharbour and into Tamriel.
Fun fact: I must have crafted about a dozen sets this weekend, and all but two were Khajit style. Never thought I would actually run out of moonstone, but I did!
edit: If any new players need help with crafting, you can hit me up in-game @vikitty. :) Had a few people message me, and yes I am still offering.
edit2: I’ve had some really sweet people send me mats and such in game to help out, thank you so much! <3 This community rocks! I will definitely accept them to ensure I can help more people, you can send them to @vikitty.
