Hey everyone, I’ve decided to pick up playing a sorc (I’d tried previously but was on another faction, am doing AD again with this toon so I can PVP with my guildies). With my magblade I was very much just about spamming siphon skills until shit died – with a sorc I’m thinking about doing it with a bit more finesse.
I’m a High Elf, which is awesome and I’m excited to unlock the passives.
I’m only level 7 so far, so it’s early days for me. I’m running light armour with the training trait to buff up my EXP, wielding a destro shock staff which I’m loving. (My magblade ran inferno). I’m liking the pet aspect of the game; he’s making a nice tank in these earlier levels while I try and figure out some sort of rotation.
What I’m having trouble getting used to so far is the skills that take time to cast, especially since I can’t animation cancel (again, what I was doing with my magblade). I’m also noticing how my mana pool depletes quickly as a result – mind you, I don’t yet have a mundus stone yet.
Really, I’m just looking for any sort of beginner tips and tricks to do right now as I strengthen my understanding of how the class plays. I’ve got a ways to go before endgame.
Also: I miss my fast horse. This is hell.
