State of Necromancer?

Hey there. I thought about trying out the Necromancer in ESO PvP and PvE. I know that DKs, Wardens and Sorcs are meta in PvP right now, but how is the necromancer doing? Is it even worth it to jump into this class?
Can you still fight a top tier DK in Battlegrounds or Cyrodiil? And is it good in PvE too? Thanks in advance!
