New player needing help

Hi, So i just started the game yeaterday. I finished the story and now Im lost. I cant seem to find any good information or guides on the internet. I guess my first question is, is this game a sinking ship?
Other then that:
- Where can I see meta decks?
- Should i just but classic card decks for a while or is it better to buy the other ones (im guessing expansions)
- What class should i focus on (I love mages in all the games but they seem weak here)
- What is the general tip for beginners, where to start, what to strive for, what cards to go after?
