My mom with Parkinson's recently shifted into Assisted Living. It's an apartment and community we together chose. However, she is suffering immense anxiety and panic attacks every other day which includes increased tremor. Wondering if any of you have experience with remediating this!
During an episode, she will have irrational thoughts such as: caregiver stole her phone, they are neglecting her, caregiver is trying to hack into her retirement savings account, her kids are being investigated, etc.
When OK, she admits the thinking during these episodes is irrational. She's never lived alone before.
Any suggestions on how to treat (besides meds - already on it with Psychiatrist) and whether this is unusual.
