Hello, I'm considering getting an e-reader with writing capabilities, so devices like the Kindle Scribe or ReMarkable 2. Looking for recommendations and suggestions that would help me make a decision. I currently own only a PaperWhite but I'm not super tied to the Kindle ecosystem.
Some of the devices I'm looking at are the Kindle Scribe, Kobo Sage, and Boox Nova Air 2. Most Onyx devices are a bit out of reach for my budget though.
Must Haves:
- Backlit screen. I tend to read quite a bit on bed before going to sleep. Ability for a warm light is highly appreciated.
- Pen support. I tend to take notes at work and would like to ditch paper and pen for convenience, and lack of mess. Even a basic pen and note taking app will do, I don't mind not being able to scribble in my e-books.
Nice to Haves:
- Waterproofing. Its some added peace of mind.
- A folio case with pen holder would be nice. Makes it easy to toss in my bag
- Screen is decently sharp enough to read manga comfortably.
Any and all recommendations are appreciated. Thank you!
Update: After considering feedback from here, various google searches, and reviews of many devices, I've settled on the Onyx Boox Nova Air 2. Thank you everyone for your input!
