The one no one liked
Post Body

In 2016 I started working for this small preschool. I looked my time there. But I remember when I interviewed and was offered the position the owner took me out to lunch to talk business and then told me there was a teacher working at the school no one liked. I didnā€™t think anything of it. Two weeks later I moved and started working at the school. I met all the staff my first day with the exception of one. They all decided to go out for dinner and invited me along. I asked them about the one teacher, and they all looked at me and said in varying ways that I would know when I met him. And boy were they right.

J was rude to everyone in a way where he thought he was being clever and funny. He refused to call students by their names and gave them western names instead. When we had Halloween, he thought it would be a great idea to dress up as a thief and go around stealing womenā€™s purses as a joke (heā€™s a black man so I think there was some level of self-hatred there).

Finally, he rage quit when the boss wouldnā€™t do things his way and moved out of his apartment to his ā€œgirlfriendsā€ place. He came back a week or two later to get his stuff. He trashed his former apartment and set fire to trash in the backyard area (he lived on the first floor) which then spread to the AC unit. Police and firefighters were called but by that time heā€™d already left.
