Hello, Im an egyptian, and I’m probably a pure one since most of my family tree are from the rural areas back to back

Anyway, I want to ask,

Hey, I’m egyptian, and im always proud of my people’s history, but does anyone know why the names in the mythology are now known by their greek pronunciation not the ancient egyptian? I was taught that, for example, Osiris was not called that, he was called Ozeer , or Ozir. Ik its because of colonization, but aren’t the scriptures written by my people written in their way and their pronunciation? So why was the greek one more vastly adapted?

Also fun fact, the egyptian dialect we speak today is FILLED with words from our ancient egyptian ancestors , ranging from baby words like emboo, which means water, to actual words we use daily, like sahd ( hot weather or hottness) , meeh ( doesnt know anything), ghetet ( annoying), taralaly ( crazy) and the most famous one, we call a woman —> Set ! ( ex: el set dy : this woman)

, along with many traditions like suboo’ for new borns, and food like kahk and fesikh
