I am on the board of a charter school in Ohio. Recently we had a prospective IT contractor come in for a presentation. They mentioned something like SIPA standards and alluded that it was some sort of security standards for education. I have tried to Google it and think I must have the spelling wrong or something. Is anyone familiar with what this is? Any information would be helpful, part of my job on the board is to make sure that we are compliant and while I have heard of HIPAA, CIPA or SIPA or what ever it was he talked about is new to me.
