Need some staple FX VST substitutes; what are your suggestions/recommendations?
Post Body

I've been a user of FL Studio for several years now. It was (and still is in some degree) the quickest way from my brain to the speakers, but some aspects always stymied me as far as general project templates/bus/etc went.

I've pretty much fallen in love with Reaper and am considering purchasing, despite being able to use it indefinitely in its unrestricted demo mode.

The trouble I'm finding is that some staple VSTs I've come to rely on don't really have equivalents I feel are satisfactory built in to Reaper. Most commonly this includes:

  • Delay, Reverb 2
  • FL's parametric EQ
  • Compression
  • Distortion/Waveshaping

I'm happy to spend a bit if required.

I have heard good things about Waves plugins...

Any suggestions/thoughts?

Thanks!
