Favourite synth, favourite drum sample pack and why?

Hi guys, I’ve recently got back into electronic music production - 1 - 2 years ago I lost all my samples and plug ins. Now I want to start fresh and not have too many of either (at least to start - I can add packs/plugins to my list later).

I was wondering what everyone’s favourite synth is, what everyone’s favourite drum samples are (welcome to add non drum sound packs/effects etc), and why you like them?

Doesn’t need to be free or illegal, I’m happy to pay for quality things.
