How can I modify sequenced Reaktor Blocks Kodiak ensembles to stop running on a note off event?

I'm talking about the new ensembles Shift Run and Curve Trax. They run with the host clock instead of reacting to note on/off.
What can I do to make them listen to MIDI (other than only pitch)? I was thinking of a VCA Block, but I wouldn't know where to place it and how to connect it.

And then there is the XY ensemble with two sets of snapshots: "free running" and normal (which I want to achieve). I looked at the settings and checked the structure in edit mode but I just can't spot the difference.
