Post Body

Hellos m9s

The last few days I've removed a bunch of posts by people promoting their twitch streams. It really goes against our no self-promotion vibe and comes across as pretty spammy. Normally I wouldn't have to post about this sort of shit, but seriously there's been an insane amount of twitch promotion posts recently. What's even up with that? Has something blown up on twitch related to music production that I've missed out on? Anyway, point is, pls stop posting twitch promotion threads. (Obviously if its someone posting about a noted producer streaming, we won't remove it. This is nothing against twitch, because obviously music production streaming is fucking cool, its just that its annoying having so many posts about people streaming, which are only relevant for a few hours at most)

(rant incoming) seriously though. reddit is a fucking terrible place to promote twitch streaming. posts don't show up on people's home page until at least 6-8 houts after posting, sometimes as much as 18-24 hours. nobody goes on /r/new. you're not even gonna get any extra viewers. just stop. please.

okay now that that's off my chest, feel free to turn the comments into a circlejerk-loving memefest.

drunk mod out.
