Seeking Recs - Dedicated Hardware Knob/Slider for MIDI Automations
Post Body

I'm looking for some recommendations on hardware for MIDI mapping.

What I REALLY want is a single knob device that can be MIDI mapped to any parameter of my choosing in Ableton Live so I can automate whatever I wish.

I have a Push and a Native Instruments MIDI keyboard, but the problem is that I hate infinite-rotation knobs. I really like the physical constraints of having a minimum and maximum position. Also, many of these hardware devices have templates for DAW that make it a bit more frustrating to quickly custom-map automation parameters.

I have the same request for a slider control - sometimes it's better to automate via a physical fader/slider...

Does anyone have any suggestions for MIDI-compatible hardware devices that fit this description? Maybe modular systems where you can purchase just the components you need?
