I want to be able to remote into my desktop via my laptop so I can edit while traveling or at someone else's house. What kind of speeds will I need at my house to avoid issues? Right now I have 198 Mbps down and 11 Mbps up (19ms ping) on Xfinity cable and it is semi usable, but I do get some lagging and it's a little frustrating.
I'm wondering if switching to FIOS and getting better upload speeds from my desktop could help with smoother UI response and video playback.
Open to other ideas as well if there are better solutions for what I'm trying to do than use TeamViewer to remote into my dual 1080p setup.
