Let's say I generate some proxies inside of premiere and media encoder makes one
"filename_Proxy_1.mov"
Then for whatever reason, that proxy file goes offline--
There's no option to reconnect the proxy file. I can (re)attach proxies, but that's not quite the same thing, even though in the bin window I can see that premiere remembers that "filename_Proxy_1.mov" is the proxy filename and even remembers the path where that file is, that doesn't show up in the attach proxies window--there it wants to look for a proxy file to go with "filename.mov" based on ::that:: filename or tc or whatever (and frequently it wants to connect back to the full rez media.)
When inheriting a project with duplicate filenames (especially with dji drones) this has the potential to cause a ton of problems.
Why on earth in 2022 can premiere not remember the name of proxy filenames and reconnect just those the same way that we reconnect full rez files.
Is there something that I'm missing here?
