I am an amateur want to be editor. What editing software is going to be the best for me
Post Body

Right now I am deciding between Premier, Avid, and FCPX (I have a macbook pro). With student discounts, the suites all seem to be around the same price. I enjoy editing and creating short films with friends and will be taking on the task of editing about 15 skits (most between 1 to 5 minutes) for our class graduation party. I luckily have a free subscription to lynda.com which has hours on hours of videos on how to use each of these editors. Editing will always be a love of mine and I hope that I can use it for creating videos for my future job (vet), family, and shorts. Would love some advice/input from people that have so much experience like you. I realize that /r/editors submissions are often more advanced than this question, but I appreciate those that take the time to help out. Thanks in advanced!

EDIT: I really appreciate all of the input that everyone is giving. There is a lot to consume and I think I'm going to start by doing trials of each program and then figuring out which one is going to work best for me. Also, the consensus seems to be that FCPX isn't what FCP was and doesn't compare to the others mentioned. Thank you so much for giving your opinions and helping me toward this decision.
