Hi guys, so this guy I like is a professional with all types of video and audio editing softwares. He has his own production company. We kinda hit it off and now i want to make a video to impress him. I use Adobe premiere and after effect as an amateur. Can you give me advice on some cool effects or something that is not too demanding but looks great? Like what would you be impressed by from an amateur. When it comes to audio I wanted to put the instrumental of a song we both like and later transition it to another song that would emphasize some of the lyrics. Is that too lame? Thank you.
Depends on what you wanna make but always remember to have adaquete colors (have a set palette), good pacing (consistent with what you are going for), good sound mixing (this makes a lot of difference), good motion (sets it apart from amateur video productions) and a good theme/concept.
