Slog 3 for low light

Curious, what is your experience coloring shows shot on the FS7 when they go into a low light situation. So they stick with slog 3 or do they switch to one of the other modes? Which do you prefer?

Apparently other gammas are less noisy, but switching gammas mid shoot seems to me like it could introduce other issues. Wondering what the norm is.

(Dealing with editing some slog3 (shot by someone else) that was underexposed amd noisy and since I also shoot I'm trying to figure the best way to not do this to someone else)
