How to stay hard during long edging sessions?

Do you ever have problems staying hard during long sex sessions? If you are going for a long foreplay or edging, do you have problem to stay hard after a while or you can be hard for hours? Do you need some stimulation to keep it hard? If you get soft, what are you doing?
Usually I don’t have a problem with erections but I enjoy really long edging sessions and after few hours I easily get soft. If I’m doing it alone, it can be even better to start over and I love playing with soft one but when doing it with partners it can be frustrating for both sides.
